myPayRate is a crowdsource platform designed to equip job seekers and professionals with salary information for markets across Africa.

All data is anonymized, encrypted, and aggregated to ensure no individual's information can be traced back to them.

You can submit your data through our user-friendly submission form, which is accessible after registering on the platform.

Basic data on myPayRate platform is free for registered individual users. Premium insights and detailed benchmarks are currently only available through subscription on the myWorkRate platform for organisations.

The data on myPayRate platform is entirely crowd-sourced and users are expected to provide accurate and truthful information. The platform aggregates this data and provides insights based on minimum, maximum, and median pay submissions per job family and level to help users make informed comparisons. Note that there could be outliers on either end.

Yes, you can update your information once every month. Once updated the edit feature remains locked.

User credits allow access to filtered data insights. Each filter or deeper level of analysis uses a certain number of credits. Credits are replenished by completing additional target questionnaires provided on the platform occasionally.

Remuneration Data Access

You can access salary ranges, common benefits, job-specific benchmarks, and location-based insights. You can access this by clicking the Market Data tab.

Yes, our platform offers filters for job title, industry, location, experience, and more for tailored results. This can be accessed when you Search and apply Advanced Filters.

No, the platform does not disclose the specific organization associated with any dataset to maintain anonymity. However, you can view the sector the dataset belongs to, allowing you to make informed decisions based on industry trends.

To display a complete level comparison (low, median, and high pay), at least three datasets are required. If sufficient data isn't available for a specific job level or job family, users can explore individual datasets by applying filters to view the available information and refine their insights.

The platform is updated in real-time as users submit new data, ensuring the latest insights are available.

Yes, we capture general compensation data, including bonuses, allowances, and other benefits provided per position. These can be found once you click drop-down next to the job.

Cross-industry and cross-country comparisons are only available on the myWorkRate platform which provides premium features for organisational benchmarking.

User Participation

You can suggest a new job family or Industry/Sector or use the closest matching job family or sector. Our team regularly updates the database to reflect user feedback.
